Revenue recovery — Amazon · Walmart · eBay · Etsy

Money your marketplace already owes you. We go get it.

Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Etsy quietly under-pay sellers every day — lost inventory, denied returns, misclassified damage, chargebacks nobody appealed. We reconcile your reports against what you were actually paid, file every claim that's owed, and only get paid when you do.

Illustrative example Reconciliation snapshot
Order Event Owed Paid Gap
AMZ-19273 Damaged return resold as sellable $34.00 $0.00 $34.00
AMZ-20501 Lost in fulfillment center $61.50 $0.00 $61.50
WMT-08842 Used/damaged return, capped credit $42.00 $8.40 $33.60
EBY-33190 "Charge not recognized" dispute $118.00 $0.00 $118.00
ETY-77021 Item-not-received, protection denied $27.50 $0.00 $27.50
Total unclaimed $274.60

Numbers are illustrative — every seller's audit turns up something different. Every flagged row becomes a filed claim.

Every marketplace runs on automated systems, and automated systems make mistakes — a return that's scanned wrong, a chargeback nobody disputes, a reimbursement policy that changed and nobody noticed. None of it is deliberate. All of it is money you already earned and never collected. Most sellers don't have the hours to audit for it every month, so it sits there until the filing window closes — and then it's gone for good.

Process

How it works

Four steps, in order — nothing happens without your approval.

01 · Step

Free audit

Grant us secure, read-only access to your seller reports. No cost, no commitment, no changes to your account or listings.

02 · Step

Reconciliation

We cross-check what you shipped, sold, and had returned against what the platform actually paid you — line by line, order by order.

03 · Step

Claim filing

Every discrepancy we find gets built into a documented case and filed before its window closes. You see and approve each claim before anything goes out.

04 · Step

You get paid

Recovered funds land directly in your seller account. We invoice 10% of what came back. Find nothing, and you owe nothing.

Coverage

Where the money gets stuck

Each platform loses track of seller money in its own particular way. We audit for all four.

AMZN

Amazon FBA

Lost and damaged warehouse inventory, returns that never make it back to stock, and fee overcharges from bad weight or dimension data — some claim windows close in as little as 60 days.

WMT

Walmart WFS

Damaged-return credits capped well under full value, and reimbursement incentives that don't always show up where they're supposed to in your payout reports.

EBAY

eBay

"Charge not recognized" disputes and buyer claims that get resolved against the seller by default — often appealable with the right documentation.

ETSY

Etsy

Purchase Protection denials over procedural technicalities, like response-time windows, on cases that should otherwise qualify.

Terms, up front

You only pay when we get you paid.

  • 10% of what we recover. Nothing more, no matter how long the case takes.
  • No recovery, no fee. If we find nothing worth filing, you owe nothing.
  • Read-only access. We never touch your listings, pricing, or funds directly, and access can be revoked at any time.
  • You approve every claim before it's ever filed on your behalf.

Who's behind this

Two people, checking the math

Shortpay is run by Kavin Ramesh and Sriyans Pattanaik, software engineers at Cognizant and Spectrum. We started by mapping out exactly how Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Etsy calculate, cap, and deny reimbursements — then built our reconciliation process around what we found. We're taking on our first clients now.

We lean hard on automation and AI agents for the tedious half of this work — pulling your reports, reconciling them line by line, valuing each gap, and tracking every claim deadline. But a person reviews and files every single claim. Nothing is ever submitted to your seller account by a machine. That's a deliberate choice: automated filing is how sellers end up with duplicate claims and flagged accounts, and no amount of speed is worth that risk to your account.
